This important new feature reminds the driver to check the back seat for children or pets. The Rear Seat Reminder warning is activated if the Ascent is started within 30 minutes after a rear door is opened and closed, a rear door is opened and closed while the vehicle is running, or the vehicle is turned off and started again within 30 minutes and the rear doors remained in a closed position. If any of these scenarios occur, an audible sound will alert the driver and a visual warning message will appear on the Combination Meter Display. With hectic daily life, this amazing feature can be a true life-saver. The 2020 Ascent Premium and higher trim levels will offer one-touch illumination controls. These well-equipped trim levels also will feature an available power rear gate lock.
